Summary

ANPD001 (Aspen Neuroscience) is an autologous cell therapy — like bemdaneprocel, it replaces lost dopamine neurons via implant, but instead of a standardized product made from donor cells, it's grown from each patient's own skin cells, reprogrammed into stem cells and then into dopamine neurons specific to that patient. The appeal is avoiding any immune rejection risk that a donor-cell product carries; the tradeoff is a more complex, personalized manufacturing process for every patient treated.

Its only tracked trial is an early Phase 1/2a safety study, enrolling by invitation rather than open recruitment — an earlier-stage, smaller program than bemdaneprocel's, both pursuing the same regenerative concept via different manufacturing approaches.
